HYROX Paris Grand Palais was the pilot project aimed at showcasing an HYROX event in a unique, iconic venue—infusing it with storytelling and a distinct atmosphere through dedicated branding and creative direction across all outputs. My goal was for the content to feel like stepping into a time-wrapped narrative, allowing both athletes and viewers—whether present at the Grand Palais or not—to experience the magic of racing in such a historic space.
To achieve this, I creative directed storytelling elements throughout all the footage captured over the few days of racing. The filming was deliberately slower and more intentional. It lingered a moment longer, emphasizing the dramatic scale of the Grand Palais and offering a perspective that felt cinematic and immersive.
For the physical branding, I designed visuals that remained true to HYROX’s core identity while also highlighting the venue itself, allowing the architecture to speak volumes. The patterns used in the branding were inspired by the Grand Palais’s window and arch structures, subtly echoing the venue’s character without directly replicating it. A custom drawn "HYROX PARIS" logo was also created specifically for this event.
Every piece produced for this race was a conscious effort to honor the iconic venue we had the privilege to occupy. It was a careful balance: speaking HYROX’s athletic language while blending it with the elegance and sophistication of the Grand Palais. The venue was the true host, we were simply fortunate guests experiencing a moment suspended in history.

The merchandise was also specially illustrated in light of the unique venue, taking inspiration from vintage graphic sports posters. I blended elements of our sport with references to the Grand Palais, allowing customers to take a piece of this experience home with them. Additional graphic lockups were created for the HYROX x Puma collection and were also used for temporary tattoos and other small interactive moments with athletes and spectators.
